Shanghai’s local authorities have approved the establisment of a new international airport, tentatively referred to as Shanghai-3. Construction commences in 2024, and the last phase will be completed by 2035. Total costs will be more than US$ 8 billion, and annual passenger capacity will ultimately reach 80 million people.
Shanghai-3 will set new standards for green airport construction in China. Local public planners have identified Copenhagen Airport as a key reference point to meet this objective. Danish companies are encouraged to bid for commercial tenders.
The aim of the theme group is to keep Danish companies informed about opportunities related to the construction of Shanghai-3 and related projects. The group also provides a framework for engaging key stakeholders involved in the construction process.
All meetings are conducted online.
